House Speaker Mike Johnson and Republican leadership just refused to call a vote to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies — even though they know what happens next.

Millions of Americans will see their insurance premiums spike next year.

Families will be priced out of the market and be forced to go without insurance.

All because GOP leaders chose politics over people.

Let’s be clear:

These subsidies were keeping costs down for working families, seniors, and small business owners — including Georgians. Even Republican members in swing districts begged their leadership to allow a vote. Leadership said no.

Why?

Because extreme Republicans would rather let health care costs explode than let Democrats be right — even when it hurts their own constituents.

Democrats are ready right now to pass a clean extension and protect coverage for tens of millions of people. Every single Democrat supports it. Republicans are the ones blocking the vote.

Health care shouldn’t be a partisan weapon.

And it definitely shouldn’t be sacrificed to please the far-right.

This is what GOP control looks like: higher costs, fewer choices, and zero accountability.

As your next Congressman I will fight to lower healthcare costs and hold republicans accountable when they pull these political games.
