Understanding Your Government:
The U.S. Congress is the legislative branch of our federal government. It is divided into two chambers: the House of Representatives and the Senate.

-
The House of Representatives (The "People's House"): There are 435 members of the House, with each member representing a specific geographic district. Chris is running to represent Georgia’s 11th Congressional District. Representatives serve two-year terms and are responsible for introduced bills and resolutions, offering amendments, and serving on committees.
-
The Power of the Purse: All bills for raising revenue (taxes) must originate in the House. As your Representative, Chris would have a direct say in how your federal tax dollars are spent right here in Northwest Georgia.
-
Constituent Services: One of the most important roles of a Congressional office is helping citizens navigate federal agencies. If I am elected, my office will be a resource for you if you have issues with:
-
Social Security benefits
-
Veterans Affairs (VA) claims
-
U.S. Passport processing
-
IRS disputes
-

How Congress Works
In a healthy democracy, transparency is non-negotiable. The Federal Election Commission (FEC) is the independent regulatory agency charged with administering and enforcing federal campaign finance laws.
-
Who Can Donate: Only U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents (green card holders) can contribute to federal campaigns.
-
Contribution Limits: For the 2026 election cycle, an individual may give up to $3,500 per election (Primary and General).
-
Public Record: To ensure accountability, all donations over $200 are a matter of public record. You can view our campaign’s financial filings at any time on the official FEC website.
Why this matters: Chris believes that Washington should be
accountable to the voters of GA-11, not special interests. We are proud
to run a transparent, grassroots-powered campaign.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How many people are in a Congressional District?
Following the 2020 Census, each member of the House represents approximately 761,000 people. GA-11 includes all of Bartow, Cherokee, and Pickens counties, and part of Cobb County.
What is the difference between a Representative and a Senator?
While I would represent the specific people of the 11th District, Georgia’s two Senators represent the entire state. Representatives are focused on the unique local needs of their communities, like the growth we are seeing in Woodstock and Cartersville.
When is the next election for Georgia’s 11th District?
Congressional elections happen every two years. Georgia's primary election is May 19th, 2026 and the general election is November 3rd, 2026. You can find more details about both on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website.
